I think the headline says it all. These do fit rather tight on 7.62 (.312) 160gr bullets cast from Lee dies. I'm not going to knock a start off for that though. It isn't Gator's fault Lee dies drop a bullet with a slightly larger shank than standard when casting with Linotype.
These gas checks are consistent in size and have been properly work hardened so they grab onto the shank like ... well ... like a gator. To properly seat these on Lee cast 160gr bullets in 7.62 (.312) diameter, I set up my 9mm seating die, my Lee .311 sizing punch and simply pressed the checks onto the base. Then I swapped dies and sized the bullets per Lee's instructions. The gas checks seated squarely and locked on so tight i couldn't pry them off with a screwdriver.
In the future, I'll use the large neck flaring die to open the gas check up so I don't have to press as hard when using the 9mm seating die to seat the check.
I will definitely buy these again.

These work great on my 309 Lee mold for my 30-30. No issues at all.

I bought my first .30 caliber gas checks from this website. I had no problems whatsoever. A few of them got messed up in the process. But it was a problem with the die (it was dirty).

These gas checks are as good as the more expensive ones on the market, I will continue to buy all my gas checks from Sage outdoors.

I only use sage copper gator gas checks. Tried some from other manufactures on my cast bullets. Not happy when you can pop them off with a thumbnail. Try that with sages and...well, good luck!

The gas checks work great, snap on easily, and when ran through a lee bullet sizer they crimp on tightly. Thanks Sage! Will do business again in a very short period.

Have purchased Gator gas checks in several different calibers. These gas checks are the best available. Nothing else, including a couple of major brands, comes close
