Good has checks at a reasonable price. I was extremely impressed with the customer support that I received from sages. They sent me a sample of their other .30 Cal checks and I will buy those next time as they are as good or better than the gator checks at a lower price. Thanks Sage's!

I use these for .30 WCF on a 170g LFN in a Marlin 336 (microgroove) and Winchester 1894. They work well with Alox lube and a Lee bullet sizer.

I'm completely satisfied with the Gator Gas Checks. I've been using this Checks for Lee 200 grs .309 sized rilfle bullets, which are driven by my charge up to 1700 fps giving best results with my 7,5 x 55 Swiss Ordonance rifle. No fouling inside the barrel and perfect accuracy.
They fit accurate and tight and I had no problems to snap on them without using the press. They are also much cheaper than the stuff of the competitors. I will order this Checks again.

I'm giving it 4 stars since I haven't had my hands on any competitors like Hornady. I ordered they were in stock and shipped rather quickly. I think all in all it took 4-5 days from purchase to on the bench. I've already worked up a load on the 30-06. These gas checks are not the "weak link" for my groupings. At 50yds I can get very close to the same hole with them. 4 in a Dime size. Maybe more but that's all I had of that load. At 2.4 cents a gc, I'm coming back when I burn thru these!
The fit was fine after sizing but some did come off when I had to dissemble some rounds kinetically. New gcs went back on without an issue.

I think the headline says it all. These do fit rather tight on 7.62 (.312) 160gr bullets cast from Lee dies. I'm not going to knock a start off for that though. It isn't Gator's fault Lee dies drop a bullet with a slightly larger shank than standard when casting with Linotype.
These gas checks are consistent in size and have been properly work hardened so they grab onto the shank like ... well ... like a gator. To properly seat these on Lee cast 160gr bullets in 7.62 (.312) diameter, I set up my 9mm seating die, my Lee .311 sizing punch and simply pressed the checks onto the base. Then I swapped dies and sized the bullets per Lee's instructions. The gas checks seated squarely and locked on so tight i couldn't pry them off with a screwdriver.
In the future, I'll use the large neck flaring die to open the gas check up so I don't have to press as hard when using the 9mm seating die to seat the check.
I will definitely buy these again.

These work great on my 309 Lee mold for my 30-30. No issues at all.
