Product Description
These are aluminum 6.5 mm gas checks for .250 shanks.
The "6.5 mm SS" crimp on gas checks fit tighter than a Gator 6.5 mm with a .002 reduction in the cup size, these are great for .250 shanks. They are standard height, about .062 tall. We make these with an undersized punch with slightly thicker metal, so the overall diameter is fine for all 6.5 mm barrels.
The checks are sold in resealable clear plastic bags. USPS flat rate boxes and First Class mail are used to reduce shipping cost. Most orders ship in one business day Monday through Friday.

Great material for a gas check

These gas checks are designed for a bullet with a small/smaller shank and I have the "normal sized shank on my NOE 6.5 Grendel mold, but because the material is aluminum it is softer then the copper GC which allows it to fit very well. My first order was 250 GC of each copper and aluminum and I had much more trouble getting the copper checks to fit properly and to stay on the bullet than I did the Alum ones. Now that could be because the copper checks were also small shank and because copper is stronger it was 2 strikes in the neg. A week later I ordered another 1000 aluminum checks. Great price, super fast shipping and low shipping cost. I would have given 5 stars if they were offered in the same shank size as the standard size of the mold. But I don't know if suck a product even exists? Would recommend and buy again, Thanks Sage

The aluminum is actually harder material, the small shank version replaced the regular 6.5 mm aluminum gas checks. I just haven't had time to make another standard size 6.5 mm punch die for aluminum. Hopefully I'll get to it soon.

They fit perfectly on the bullets we have been casting for the carcano. Work great through the sizer. When I have time off from work I plan to use the same for the Swedish Mauser. Looking forward to time off from work!

Put them on 150 gr. bullets. Look forward to seeing how they are compared to copper. Plan on buying other sizes for reloading.

Love the Aluminum checks. Easy to use and install. They are the best at gliding thru the sizer. After years of using copper checks, I will never go back to the copper.
