1. Great alternative to Speer shot capsles

   When searching for Speer shot capsels to reload snake shot shells, none were available. With the cost of $20 for 10 loaded CCI shot shells I thought this was worth a try. I ordered 6 kits and the arrived shortly there after. I loaded 357 cases using the provided instructions, #12 shot and reloading data from an od Speer manual. The resulting shells are as good or better than shell I had reloaded in the past using Speer shot capsles.

   The Shot Shell Wad Kit was just what I needed to start making some 38Cal pistol shot shells.
   I needed to try making them self because I thought it would be fun , and I did enjoy doing it
   I used 38 Cal. Mag casings because they have more room for the shot.
   I followed the directions and ended up with a nice looking shot shell.
   I went to the range to test fire them, and was impressed with how well they patterned on the paper at 6 feet. So now I'm ready to take on the Critters.

   I would give this item 5 stars but I have not had the time to load it yet so I cannot give it 5...It appears to be a FINE item It seems to be pretty consistent, I have no idea of WHEN I will get the chance to load this and fire it ..But when i do I will get back here an review it ..

   Very high quality. Fast service. Will buy again. Much better than plastic. Try for yourself if you have some plastic capsules. At ten to fifteen feet, very the load and crimp, this will work better.

5. better than shot capsules

   These are cheaper more readily available and easier to use than CCI shot capsules. Much easier to use than making your own wads from cardboard. The # 9 shot from Sage really smacks down barn pests. At five yards I get about an 18 pattern from a 6 inch .38 special.

6. Super simple and great price!

   These parts, when combined with yours, make super simple shotshells for way less than buying loaded rounds or buying shot capsules. I used Speer data and my 357 dies to push the top check into place and crimp in a separate step. I used a small hex bolt to push the wad atop the powder so it would be flat. I weighed out 92 grains of #9 shot and the whole thing came together nicely. I would advise the user to make sure the shot is pressed deeply enough that the check can sit flat as depicted in the product image. It is easy enough to be sloppy and have the check sit askew. I don't know how those would perform or pattern. Beware if you intend to shoot these indoors: the check will have more penetrating power than you want in drywall or nice finishes.

7. Easy to Load

   These shotshells assembled easily. I slightly belled the .357 cases, put in the powder, wad, and shot. Then I indexed my turret press half a turn, put the cartridge case in the shell holder with the metal over wad on top and bumped the case/ over wad into the solid part of the turret. I could feel a "click" as the metal over wad seated. Great patterns at 10-15 feet,

    worked fine. used 4.2 grn 231. used crimp set up for cast bullet. tested with plastic jug filled with water. at 10'. penetrated front and a few went thru bout sides. will carry for buzz worms.
