I ordered these gas checks on the advice of a fellow reloader. He said they were just as good or better than the Hornady gas checks we had used in the past!!!!!!! After receiving these checks from Sage's Outdoors, I have to agree. Great quality, fit is perfect, I love the thickness of the checks I selected for my .311-155 2R boolits.
Great product, and I will definitely order more!!

They work just like the Hornady's that I have used in the past.

I e-mailed the owner and asked what he recommended for this new bullet of mine sized to .314. He recommended the .30 / 7.62 MM CALIBER .017 COPPER GAS CHECK and it fits like a glove. I have used several other Sage's gas checks, both copper and aluminum, and they have all worked perfectly.

One of the big reasons that I need gas checks in the first place is that I am casting rifle bullets these days in order to make my target and leisure shooting less expensive. This is only a recent change for me, and in the past I have used rifles at the range more reluctantly, simply because of the relatively high cost of factory bullets. While cast bullets might be used for some hunting, that is where I stay with factory projectiles. Meanwhile, for lead bullet shooting, I would not tolerate gas checks that fall off the bullet after sizing, and with initial testing I don't find any problem at all with these checks. I haven't used these gas checks a lot, yet, but I appreciate Sage supplying what seems to be a fully good product with a bit less cost. I'm very pleased.

These thicker gas check will help with that little more you need at times with a problem cast bullet , don't be afraid to try these .017 checks they are the same top quality Sage's copper checks but with a little more meat to them .

I use Sage checks in 30-06, 30-40, 7.5X55, 7.62x54, as well as a wide variety of 8mm's. The checks work great and cant beat the price. Highly recommend this product.
