These are our crimp on aluminum .30 / 7.62 mm caliber gas checks. They are made with .015 thick aluminum, so they work very well when sized .309 to .312. We are selling these direct, cut out the middle men and buy right off the press. Made to fit tight on a .284 shank.
Our gas checks are sold in resealable clear plastic bags. USPS flat rate boxes and First Class mail are used to reduce shipping cost.
Sold in 4 quantities: 100 for $3.99, 250 for $6.75, 500 for $12.50 and 1000 for $23.00

did a test with these vs cu found no difference in point of aim. Both cu and al checks are premier better than the other guys with the red boxes. As I shoot 200 to 300 rifle round various cal, I will soon be buying more, I like to test different powders and loads on .308, .311, .323, .329, .45, .458
Just hope we can get some inventory. Since finding Sage's Outdoors I cannot be happier. Thank you for a fine product at reasonable prices. terry

They are just as good as copper gas checks but lighter. This makes the bullet closer to it cast weight.

Get it, use it, enjoy it. I personally chose this check for .30 cal needs as it gives a hint of room on .309 sized rounds powder coated. I cast .312 and size to .309 after powder coating. The checks fit very snug, crimp well.
My reason for the choice of 312 casting is I get .311 to .314 drop. This I load in 30-06, 300Sav, 7.62x54R, 7.62x39, 7.7Jap, 300Blk, 308 all of which shoot great, 90%+ weight retention on impact. I know this would not happen with out a great gas check.

i use these with 30-30 and 7.62x39 and they work great. i see no difference in the aluminum and copper except the cost. i am able to use near max loads with no leading. highly recomend

When I couldn’t get gas checks from my normal supplier, I decided to give these a try. Not only are these one half the price, they shoot great too. An added bonus is that on my powder coated bullets, they are just a little bigger. They fit on bullets that my previous checks did not. This has reduced my reject rate to less than 1 percent. Fantastic product and the service was great. I highly recommend.

If ound these Aluminum gas checks to actually be easier to use than Copper or Brass checks, especially when attaching them using the press-mounted Lee Bullet Sizer. These checks are great for the cast bullet loads I'm using in .300 Blackout, as the Aluminum is not as hard as the other types, thus actually allowing slightly higher velocities without increasing chamber pressure.
Would I recommend these? Definitely yes. These checks do an excellent job, and are easier on the wallet than other types. And the price? It makes buying those "do it yourself" gas check maker kits not really worth the expense of buying one.
