   Had some plain base 10 MM cast lead HP bullets that were too soft for the velocity / pressures of the load without leading. The plain base gas checks solved that problem, just purchase another 1500.

2. Never knew plain based bullets could be gas checked

   Found out from a friend that Sage's sold gas checks for plain base bullets which has allowed me to use my old bullet molds for my 10mm and 41 mag. I was having leading problems until I starting using the aluminum gas checks on my plain base bullets. 10mm and 41 mag.are just too hot not to have gas checks. Thanks for making this product

3. Works well for 41 Magnum too

   I buy these mostly to use for 41 Magnum, I originally bought them to use up some older 40 caliber cast & lube bullets as they help so much at reducing lube smoke. At the indoor range I shoot at, very few even shoot revolvers, much less cast bullets in revolvers, the young guys that work there, most have never even seen a conventionally lubed bullet, they only know about Hi-Tek coated if they know anything at all about lead bullets.
   One thing I have found with all these plain base checks, is they can be very difficult to put on a bullet if it's not a bevel base style, but if it is, they go on my 41 caliber bullets and work very well.

4. Improves performance of soft cast bullets

   I had a quanity of 40 cal bullets that were cast from of a very soft alloy, and shot poorly. I deceided to try these gas checks, just to see how they worked. I bought 500 of them. They were very reasonably priced. Bullets were previously sized to .4005, and lubed. The gas checks, easily slipped onto the bullet bases. I ran them base first through my Star sizer, and they came out perfect. I fired some from an arm rest, and they grouped well.
   
   As I stated, these bullets were cast soft, and still it took a little effort to crimp the gas checks on the bullets. If the bullets were cast much harder, it would place undue stress on the sizer crimping them. Probably the Lee sizer would be the way to go for these. But then again, if the bullets were cast hard, you wouldn't need gas checks.
